Motorization
Battery-powered motors are the ultimate wire-free option for motorized shades, offering a flexible installation without the need for electrical wiring. Batteries can be internal rechargeable, external rechargeable, or external reloadable. Rechargeable batteries are charged with a plug-in charger or paired with a solar panel charger for higher energy efficiency. Reloadable batteries use 8 replaceable AA Lithium Batteries. The charge for battery-powered motors lasts approximately 1-year, depending on the frequency of use. (Available for interior shades only.)
Wired motors are a tried and true industry standard for motorization due to the reliability they offer. These motors can use AC-power (line voltage) or DC-power (low voltage). AC-power motors can be plugged into an outlet or hardwired by an electrician. DC-power motors can be plugged into an outlet using a DC transformer or wired to a power distribution panel. (Exterior shades available with AC-power only.)
Intelligent motors take automation to the next level! These motors use both data and either AC-power (line voltage) or DC-power (low voltage) and are linked to controls through a digital network offering a seamless integration between motors and controls. Intelligent motors are ideal for large projects. (Available for interior shades only.)
